The first audio recording ever made was not a song but rather a snippet of “Mary Had a Little Lamb” recited by Thomas Edison himself. This recording was made on his newly invented phonograph, an early form of telephone, in 1877.

𝟮. 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲:
The world’s oldest working telephone is over 100 years old. It’s a Siemens Model 16, made in Germany in 1880. This antique device was powered by a hand-cranked generator and had a wooden case.
